What does the Microsoft acquisition of Activision Blizzard mean for some iconic IP?
You can never have enough open-world adventure games, and we'd love to see the beastly brutality of Prototype return. Roaming around a next-gen Manhattan on Xbox Series X would be a hoot.
Nothing beats the rush of nailing a track in Guitar Hero. We're beyond ready to see the series make a comeback... hopefully one that stays true to the game that started it all.
Remember Blur? It might not have been massively successful back in the day, but its distinct offering of arcade-style racing would be fun to revisit in a shiny reboot.
If there's one RTS that deserves a revival with the impending Microsoft deal, it's StarCraft. Both the original and its sequel delivered alien-wrecking warfare we'd love to see resurface.
The open-ended 3D platforming of the Spyro games would be a lovely world to revisit, and the beautifully vibrant colors would certainly wow us on current-gen consoles.
Despite the excellence of the 2020 remasters, the future of THPS remains uncertain. We'd love to see Microsoft forge a dedicated studio to give us more skateboarding games that combine physics and fun.
