7. Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris (2014)

At the time, this four-player, puzzle-heavy co-op adventure looked like a radical departure from the classic TR template, yet it stayed remarkably true to the series' spirit.

6. Tomb Raider: Legend (2006)

Lara's first proper reboot took the classic Tomb Raider formula and added physics-based puzzling, and a  impressive grappling line.

5. Shadow of the Tomb Raider (2018)

Shadow may be the least beloved entry of the rebooted Raider trilogy, but it's sharp platforming and head-scratching Challenge Tombs still make it a treat to play.

A great reworking of the PS1 original, which stayted faithful to the much-loved source material while preserving the progress made by Tomb Raider: Legend.

One of the most influential games of the 32-bit generation, Lara's iconic (and ultra demanding) 3D plaftormer/puzzler hybrid turned Ms Croft into a true legend.

A lean and brilliant reboot that helped Lara reclaim relevance after years in the video game wildneress. Rebooted Raider wisely takes all the cues from Uncharted.

1. Rise of the Tomb Raider (2015)

The best game Lara Croft has ever starred in. This chilly Siberian sequel combines expert hub environments with tight mechanics to produce a truly sublime action-adventure.
