7. CALL OF DUTY: WARZONE

COD takes on the battle royale genre? Of course Warzone was going to take over the world. From its hyper-realistic shootouts to nerve-shredding 1v1 face-offs in the gulag, this is the most relevant Call of Duty in years.

Nintendo's lovely life simulator has seen vibrant player communities spring from nothing, aiding the trading of turnips, DIYs recipes, or tips on how to make the perfect island. A joy of a game.

4. SPIDER-MAN: MILES MORALES

Miles takes you on a thrillingly vivid virtual tour of New York City during the holidays. We're not quite sure why, but there's something extra satisfying about webbing up goons when it's snowing.
