Could this list of the finest Friends episodes *be* any better?
Unlike many Friends eps, the gags in "The One With the List" are underpinned by moments of cruel heartbreak. Just as it looks like Ross and Rachel are finally on the cards, it's taken away from us by a terribly judged list.
It may introduce the "weenie from Torini" into our lives, but don't let Paolo's debut spoil an ace episode. Chandler getting stuck in an ATM booth with a model is one of the first season's best moments.
After Phoebe finally finds out about Chandler and Monica's secret relationship, she and Rachel concoct a devious plan to seduce Mr Bing into revealing the truth. Commence exposed bras and huge laughs.
The moment where Ross' unrequited love for Rachel becomes the defining storyline of the show. When the gang find an old prom vid, Rach finally discovers the true depths of Ross' feelings.
Perhaps it's cruel to laugh at the breakdown of one of the show's core characters. Still, it's hilarious to see Ross lose his cool over the "Moist Maker" - aka the best turkey sandwich ever.
The best episode to be set entirely in Mon's apartment. Cleverly, it plays out in real-time: our pals making an almighty mess of getting ready for Ross' black-tie event over the course of 20 minutes.
Friends' best episode is also its most misleadingly titled. Forget the story of Phoebe carrying her half-bro's babies; it's the hysterical boys vs girls quiz for Monica's apartment that makes this Friends' finest (half) hour.
