At the time of writing From's brutal adventure hasn't launched yet. Still, with its gorgeous open world and expert combat, we're condfident it could be an all-time great From title.

6. Demon's Souls

The cult classic turned classic remake put FromSoftware on the map in the West. Dark Souls may have since overshadowed it, but so much of the series' iconic structure was laid out here.

5. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

'Dark Souls but with stealth, katanas, and set in 17th century Japan' sure is one hell of a sell. Thankfully, Sekiro is just as masterful at dishing out brutally addictive combat as the Souls games.

4. Dark Souls 2

The only Souls game not to be directed by the legendary Hidetaka Miyazaki, it's often seen as the runt of the litter. Drangleic may not be as cohesive as Lordran, but the action still excels.

3. Dark Souls 3

Faster, prettier, and more confident, DS3 once again serves up killer bosses. Special priase should also go to its excellent DLC quests, Ashes of Ariandel and The Ringed City.

2. Bloodborne

From's most twisted title, Bloodborne is Dark Souls meets Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos. More offense-focused than Souls, it forces players to fight aggressively by removing shields.

1. Dark Souls

From's best title was also voted the greatest game of all time at last year's Golden Joystick awards. Its masterful world-building has yet to be matched all these years on. An utter classic.
