8. Cyberpunk 2077

After a killer trailer, Keanu Reeves appeared from behind a smoke-filled entryway to a very excited welcome from the audience. It was all rather, well, "breathtaking".

7. Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle

Mario's spin-off was revealed by Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot and Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto wielding life-size replicas of its in-game weapons. Talk about a show-stealer.

6. GTA 4

Rockstar's Liberty City smash was a classic... even if its reveal made our toes curl. E3's most infamous sleeve roll saw Microsoft's Peter Moore confirm the game's release with a GTA 4 tattoo.

5. Fallout 4

After years of silence, Todd Howard took to the E3 stage to overwhelm the audience with the opening of his game, complete with character creation, stats, and more.

4. Final Fantasy 7 Remake

Oooof. What a reveal. As the cinematic trailer played out, it was impossible to hold back the excitement at the first sight of the signature weapons of the influential JRPGs characters.

3. God of War

The killer PS4 reboot was revealed with help by a stirring live orchestra, before Kratos appeared on-screen to declare "I am hungry". A chilling yet classic E3 moment.

2. Halo 2

The demo Bungie debuted during E3 2003 was a humdinger. The crowd absolutely lost it when they caught their first glimpse of Master Chief dual-wielding.

Debuted with a disturbing first-person demo before the number seven finally appeared on-screen to reveal Resi was back, this was one hell of a reintroduction for a series that had lost its way.
