The PS4 games that run best on PS5

The last-gen games that make the most out of PlayStation 5's extra horsepower

Picked up a PlayStation 5? Some of our favorite PS4 games run far better on the new console, thanks to these free PS5 upgrades...

SEKIRO: SHADOWS DIE TWICE

The samurai slasher runs at a locked 60 frames per second on PS5 - a big improvement over the slighlty stuttering PS4 version. The uptick in performance makes a huge difference during fights.

GOD OF WAR

Thanks to a recent PS5 patch, you can now play Kratos' masterful reboot in 4K at 60fps. On PS4 Pro, you had to choose between a 4K/30fps mode, and a 1080p/60fps peformance option.

DAYS GONE

Turns out, escaping legions of undead beasties on your hog feels a whole lot smoother at 60fps. Thanks to the power of the PS5, this sandbox runs at double the refresh rate as it did on PS4.

GHOST OF TSUSHIMA

Another first-party gem that now runs at 4K/60 frames per second on PS5. That much improved performance makes it easier than ever to slice and dice Jin Sakai's enemies.

THE LAST GUARDIAN

You can now run Fumito Ueda's boy-meets-beast tale at 60fps... though there's a catch. This boost only works on the unpatched disc version. Still, the TLG feels lovely played at 60 frames.
