The top PS5 games to get excited about

The most exciting next-gen games headed to Sony's new console

PS5 is alsmost upon us. Here are the games we can't wait to play...

One of PS4's best titles gets the gobsmacking sequel we've all been waiting for. Knowing Guerrilla, Aloy's sandbox will be PS5's best-looking game.

HORIZON FORBIDDEN WEST

The debut trailer may only have been a couple of minutes long, but GT7 already looks like the prettiest racer ever. GT4's cool map menu returns to boot.

GRAN TURISMO 7

An exciting standalone expansion in the style of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. This follow-up to Insomniac's sandbox already looks heroic.

MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN: MILES MORALES

A PS5 platformer so pretty, it looks better than the 2016 movie! Those rifts make great use of PS5's speedy SSD.

RATCHET & CLANK: RIFT APART

Taking cues from horror films like The Ritual, the latest Resi looks chilling. Oh, and it seems zombies have been shunted aside for werewolves. Gulp.

RESIDENT EVIL 8: VILLAGE

Those restoration masters at Bluepoint return for another ambitious remake. This newly prettied up PS3 classic should be sensational on PS5.

DEMON'S SOULS

GRAND THEFT AUTO 5

The most successful open world game ever hits next-gen. GTA 5 on PS5 will be expanded and enhanced. Let's hope it's as good as the incredible PC port.

The Sack is back! The PlayStation mascot returns for another cheery platform romp. Co-op play is in, though LBP's level editor is probably out.

SACKBOY: A BIG ADVENTURE

The slaphead sociopath returns to finish the World of Assassination trilogy. A glimpse at a hit in Dubai hints at a killer comeback for 47.

HITMAN 3

Gearbox's "loot-slasher" was one of the first games to be revealed for PS5. Think an ultra slick Borderlands with swords and you get the idea.

GODFALL

Stray! Returnal! Deathloop! Ghostwire: Tokyo! Kena: Bridge of Spirits! Pragmata! PS5 is going to be home to an array of amazing adventures.
