All the key facts surrounding Master Chief's new shooter
Infinite has an open-world map that's bigger than the campaigns from the last two Halo games combined. This new sandbox structure is further cemented with a day/night cycle.
Unlike Halo 5: Guardians, where Chief had to share the lead role with Locke, the iconic Spartan is Infinite's soul protagonist. Hopefully this means 343 will tell a more streamlined story.
Infinite treats John-117 to a bad ass grappling hook, which he can use to pull himself towards foes. 343 Industries has confirmed Chief will get other tools and abilities as you explore.
We've had to use a shot from Halo 3 here, but you get the idea. While there aren't any co-op screens of Infinite yet, two-player split-screen is supported.
Like Halo 2, the Brutes pose the main threat to Chief in Infinite. The Brute-controlled Banished faction is lead by the extra surly Atriox, and hoo-boy does he love a menacing monologue.
